SaskAssemble in September

Hello friend,

I apologize for the length of time between posts. It’s been a challenging summer (more on that in a future post, maybe) but I’m climbing back into things now, and wanting to reconnect with the world.

To that end, I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be appearing at SaskAssemble on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, at Sutherland Hall in Saskatoon, SK! The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and it’s going to be an incredible day filled with some of the most talented artists and creators from our local scene.

I’m honored to be in the company of such amazing Saskatoon talents, including the legendary Tom Grummett, Riley Rossmo, Nathen Wahl, Elaine Will, Ryan Howe, Jeff Burton, Brayden Martens, Dave Cornelius, Rob Shauf, Audra Balion, James Zintel, and maybe even more. Whether you’re a longtime comic book fan or new to the scene, there’s going to be something for everyone with such a diverse array of styles and stories.

It’s especially neat that Amazing Stories is sponsoring the event this year. For those who might not know, I worked at Amazing Stories for many years, and it’s a place that still holds a lot of happy memories. I’m glad to be included in their upcoming show, and I can’t wait to see my fellow creators and the great work they’ve been up to.

And because no post is complete without a little artwork, I wanted to share something special with you all. While looking through some files, I stumbled upon an abandoned commission I did back when I worked at Amazing Stories. It’s a piece that never quite made it to completion, but I thought it would be fun to dust it off and share it here with you all.

I don’t really know what’s happening here. Is Rhino’s file too full, and so Spidey is trying to get him back into the store to buy something? Your guess is as good as mine.

Stay tuned, because I’ll have another fun announcement later this week.

Thanks for reading, I love you.
